Union for International Cancer Control is the largest anti-cancer non-governmental organization in the world. Built in 1933, UICC comprises over 300 member organizations in more than 100 countries around the world, including cancer associations, tumor research institutions, governmental medical organizations, and so on. Since then, to resist cancer which is ever-rising and threatening the health of global public, UICC has carried out a series of world-wide anti-cancer activities, such as cancer knowledge publicity, fruitful dialogues and collective actions, which have contributed a lot to the global anti-cancer cause.

Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou Assisted Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games, the 16th Asian Games, was held in Guangzhou from Nov. 12th to Nov. 27th in 2010. Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou had been granted the title of honor” Assisting Medical Institution of Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games” for its outstanding facilities, environment, medical service and technology, and became a designated international medical service institution for Asian Games. A medical team formed by medical staffs from emergency, surgical, general, and medical departments of Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou offered medical security services for Asian Games players, foreign visitors and Guangzhou citizens during Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games.
